Jimmyjane Neptune 2

The Jimmyjane Neptune 2 is a rechargeable vibrator made from silicone and ABS plastic, and it comes with a remote control for playing as a couple. It has two independent motors, and Jimmy Jane says the vibration is powerful. It's submersible, so you can take it into the bath. It charges with a magnetic USB cable and comes with a one-year warranty.

Who it suits and who it doesn't

It suits couples who like to share control: one of you holds the toy while the other works the remote. If you like to stretch out bath or shower time, you needn't worry about water here, as it can be fully submerged. And if you're fed up with changing batteries, this one runs on a rechargeable battery and connects with a magnetic cable.

How to use it and look after it

To charge it, use the magnetic USB cable that comes with it: no batteries needed.

• It can be submerged in water.

Compatibility

• Lubricant: As it's made of silicone, you'll usually want a water-based lubricant, because a silicone one can damage the surface.
• Water: It's submersible and Jimmy Jane describes it as bath-safe, so it works just as well in the shower as in the bath.
• Charging: It has a rechargeable battery and charges with a magnetic-connection USB cable.
• Remote: A remote control is included, designed for playing as a couple.

General tips

Common good practice for this type of product; these are not the manufacturer's instructions.

• Start at the lowest intensity and work up gradually: that way you'll find the rhythm you like sooner.
• Charge it fully before first use and, if you go a while without using it, give it a charge now and then: the battery holds up better if it isn't left flat for long.
• Even though it's submersible, dry it thoroughly before connecting it to the charger.
• Test the remote's range before going out wearing the toy: the signal doesn't travel as far through the body and clothing.
• Wash it after every use with lukewarm water and mild soap, or with a toy cleaner, and dry it thoroughly before putting it away.
• Keep it clean and dry, away from heat and sunlight, in a fabric pouch or its box and apart from other toys: some materials react when they touch and become stained or misshapen.
• If you share it, wash it between one person and the next, or cover it with a new condom for each person.
